Since 1916, the store has stood in the middle of our neighborhood as a symbol of hard work, simplicity, and local pride.

Our Mission

We strive to provide you with a safe, comfortable environment that provides the basic essentials and then some. We take requests to carry the products you want to see in the store. Our family is here to serve you.

Ownership History

• 1916 - Rasmus Olsen opened the Rasmus Olsen Grocery. His son, Arthur, eventually took over the business and renamed it North End Grocery & Market

• 1950 - Mel Ingstrom bought the store from the Olsen family. Mel sold the store when the Piggly Wiggly came in down the street. He went to work for the Piggly Wiggly.

• 1959 - Bill Renner bought the store and renamed it Renner’s Grocery. He eventually closed down the meat shop portion of the store and started moving to be a smaller grocery store. He even did TV repairs.

• 1992 - Mr. Pyon and his family bought the store and renamed it Jiffy Mart. The store, by this time, was now a convenience store.

• 2015 - We bought the store and renamed it the Delightful Neighborhood Market. We have been working ever since to turn the store into just what the name says.
